How to Live?

I was reading a post about a Chinese girl spent all her savings renting a studio in countryside after graduating from university. She just paint there and live by herself for 7 years. Her name is Shunxiang Hu. She said even she will have to move back to the city to form a family, she will still keep renting this place. Because this place teaches her how to live.

I am wondering if a place could teach us how to live? Maybe yes. Look at grandma Tasha Tudor’s life. She lives in a house with a garden, surrounding by plants and cute animals. It definitely gave you different feelings from an office building.

Most people even didn’t get chance to choose what’s kind of life they want. Just followed the herd. Working in a big company, do whatever job is most popular. But do we really happy about it? Could we be more proactive, and at least start to think about how to live?

“Anything that didn’t live beautifully, that has been wasted.” — Yitiao

Take a look of this poem wrote by Charles Bukowski:

“Invent life, it is you, the history of its past and the presence of its presentness. There is nothing else, nothing.”

The modern society makes everything seems so comfortable. But did you choose how to live for yourself? Are you inventing your life?

It is the beginning of 2021. Hopefully the article could make us think how to live. Happy new year.
